Boys & Girls XC Advancing to Regionals!
Yesterday, boys and girls cross-country placed second at the District Meet hosted by Saint Francis. Both teams will be advancing to the Regional Meet next Friday at Holloway Park in Lakeland, FL. Congratulations to the P.K. Yonge Cross-Country team!

Picture retakes are CANCELED for October 17 due to the late delivery of photo proofs. If you have not already picked up proofs, they will be available on Monday, October 17. A new date will be scheduled for re-takes and will be posted on the website. Please stay tuned!
Make-Up Day Scheduled For October 21
Due to the weather-related school closure on Friday, September 2, the teacher workday/pupil holiday scheduled for Friday, October 21 is now a scheduled school day for all students. All students are expected to be in attendance to school on that day. In addition, for the secondary division, the following changes to the periods meeting on October 17 should be noted:

New Website - On Its Way!
Within the next month we will be unveiling a new website. Information regarding the date of the launch of the new site will be sent out to families before we switch to the new system. We are looking forward to a new, streamlined site and a new look for our home on the web!
The PSAT is Coming!
The PSAT/NMSQT (the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) will be given Wednesday, October 19 from 7:45 am to 12:30 pm at the Florida Gym. Bus transportation will be provided to and from PKY to the Florida Gym. All tenth graders will take the exam at no cost and do not need to sign up.
It is strongly recommended that all college bound 11th grade students take the PSAT. We are also making a limited number of seats available for 9th graders interested in taking the exam. Cost of the PSAT for students in 11th and 9th grade is $27. Waivers are available for students with financial need. Please sign up and pay in the PKY business office. Registration will begin Monday, September 26 and close at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October, 14th.
